Wild for Wins

If you want a wolf’s chance of a win, you’ll need to first check out the paytable to see exactly what you need to do. It’s not the most obvious route to find it, especially for newer players as it’s the blue button on the left of the main screen which needs to be pressed. This button isn’t labelled as the paytable but instead shows a currency sign and multipliers, so it’s far from clear as to the function. However this will take you to the paytable and once in, it’s much easier to exit back out to the main screen when required.

You’ll need to line up at least three symbols to get a payout and these need to run from left to right along an active payline. The sole exception is any winning line which features a wolf – this can be read in both directions. The paytable is interactive and the prizes will update depending on the level you’re betting at. Move up and down through the betting to see how this alters the prizes. The top available payout is 1800.00 for matching up five of the large moon landscape symbols.

Lupine Lines

Wolves and moonlight lie in every direction but if you want to start winning some serious cash, it’s time to return to the main game. You’ll be playing with 5 reels which are laid out in the usual configuration with up to 30 paylines available. You have the option of reducing these if you prefer to play with fewer. Click on the button to drop the number of paylines in preset intervals of 10. The coloured bars at the side of the reels show how many paylines are in play and you can alter the number which are active by clicking on these bars well as the buttons below.

There’s even more flexibility when it comes to setting the value of the coin, although there’s not a huge range on this game. The lowest coin value is just 0.01 per line which gives a total min bet of just 0.30. At the other extreme, the top figure available for play is 0.60 per line, coming to a total max bet of 18.00. Although there’s some distance between the top and bottom prices, it’s a fairly narrow margin compared to some other slots and high rollers could be looking for more.

Howling with Delight

As well as using the regular symbols to line up a win, there’s extra wins to boost your prize haul on Night Wolves. The very appropriately named wild is a type of symbol which is almost an ever-present in slots, and regular players will be accustomed to seeing it in other titles. The wild is also present in this game and can step in for other symbols on the reels and make it easier to get a winning line.

The only symbol that the wild cannot substitute for is the scatter, which features a full shining moon over a quiet landscape. Land three or more scatters to win and also unlock the free games feature. During this extra, you’ll not only receive free spins but you’ll also get additional wilds, and stacked wilds too, to bump up your prize tally.

Moonlit Mayhem

Night Wolves by Bally Wulff is an online video slot which is just slightly creepy, leaving players on edge. The sinister style of play suits this fantasy theme perfectly and adds to the excitement of rolling a win. With a fairly simple structure that won’t confuse anyone, this game is probably better suited to beginners and intermediate players rather than the advanced.
