The name Plumbo might not right a bell for you, but if you happen to be from Norway it will immediately bring two things to mind: a famous drain cleaner brand and an even more popular folk rock band. The Betsoft team has decided to focus on the latter and create an original and dynamic video slot game based on solid rules and with some very interesting prizes to grab.

Plumbo is a modern slot game with an obviously very musical soundtrack. The game has pros and cons, but overall we had fun testing it out and trying to grab the jackpot in a medium-volatility environment. Plumbo also has a few surprises to unveil, so stay around and check out our full review of the game to find out more about Plumbo.

Rock On

Plumbo was inspired by the performances of the Norwegian band that inspired the developers. As a result, we are taking you to a virtual Plumbo concert. The reels themselves are set right in the middle of the stage, under the spotlights. You can hear the huge crowd cheering while some of the most famous Plumbo songs play in the background.

You will soon realise that Plumbo is going to be much more enjoyable if you knew the band in the first place, or if you at least like folk rock in general. The graphics are very decent, without being exceptional. You will find some actual photos of the band members spinning on the reels as well, making Plumbo the official slot game of the band.

The Perfect Soundtrack

Plumbo is a modern video slot game with 5 reels and 25 paylines to bet on. This gives players a betting range going from 25 to 125 credits per spin maximum, which you can easily navigate thanks to the command buttons shaped like music instruments under the reels. The max bet shortcut on the right-hand side of the screen is the perfect choice for players willing to go all-in.

Overall, Plumbo seems to have an average volatility and grants all sorts of prizes. The maximum reward corresponds to 1000 times your line bet, which is quite generous. The paytable is filled with electric guitars and the 4 band members themselves, giving Plumbo a very rock atmosphere that fits with the soundtrack perfectly. Overall, the base game is quite classic yet fun to play, and we managed to score a few nice cash prizes as we were trying it out.

Extra Multipliers

Plumbo has a few bonus features to help you out on your way to the jackpot, such as a very generous wild symbol. As usual, you can use it to replace the basic symbols on the reels and score some extra combinations. As you do so, every win that you score is automatically multiplied by 2. This puts the Plumbo jackpot at x2000 for the luckiest gamblers out there.

The pink band logo works as a scatter in Plumbo. This means that you won’t have to worry about paylines as far as it is concerned. Scattered logos can award up to 20 free spins instantly, during which every single combination is worth twice as much as usual. Make sure you keep an eye out for the scatters if you truly want to win big in Plumbo.

The Show Must Go On

Plumbo is based on a fairly regular set of rules, albeit generous. You can enjoy similar rules with Iron Man 3, a Playtech video slot game with similar settings and, incidentally, also inspired by a completely different franchise. What Iron Man 3 has in terms of graphics, Plumbo compensated for by awarding more free spins.

If you are into music, check out Rock ‘n’ Roller from Playtech to immerse yourself back into the unique era of classic rock. The entire game looks like a giant jukebox, with pure retro style and classic rules. Despite an average volatility, Rock ‘n’ Roller can actually prove more challenging than Plumbo, due to its smaller reel set.

Let the Music Play

Plumbo might not be a very famous band outside Norway, but their official slot game might very well attract gamblers from all around the world. Despite its very specific theme, Plumbo is based on solid and familiar rules with very decent cash prizes available – especially when the multipliers are active.

In a nutshell, you might have to see past the look of Plumbo to discover an honest slot game, to which you might get hooked in no time at all. We would still have loved to see a progressive jackpot here as well, just to spice things up a little.
