Choose Your Stake
If you’re willing to put your money where your mouth is and play for cash, you’ll need to get those reels a-spinning. But just before you do you’ll need to decide how much you want to play with. There’s five reels and 30 paylines but you can opt to play on fewer if you prefer. There’s between one and five credits which can be bet per line. You can specify the value of each of these credits too from 0.02 up to the limit of 0.50. So, that makes the minimum bet 0.60 and maximum 75.00.
The paytable is where you’ll find the lowdown on the prizes up for grabs so take a look here before deciding how much you want to bet. You’ll need to navigate away from the main page and onto a separate screen using the button on the top right. To get a win you’ll need to match a minimum of three symbols on consecutive reels from the left, but the more symbols you line up the bigger the prize will be. If you’re playing on a max bet, the top prize for matching five of the sheriff symbols is 6000. The letters are the lower value symbols while the images of the characters are worth more to land.
Shooting to Win
As well as spinning the reels to line up the regular symbols, there’s some extras on the reels which can unlock some special features. Lookout for the gun appearing on the centre reel as it will activate the Wild Guns feature. This involves the sheriff taking shots at the reels with up to five hits. The reels will then spin away straight away with the symbols that were hit transforming into wilds. Look out for the gun being spun between the sheriff and the bad guys as this opens a special bonus play. During this feature you’ll play heads or tails to decide which gunslinger comes out on top!
It’s not all about guns though and if you land three or more of the sheriff’s badge you’ll open the free spins round. They’ll need to land on consecutive reels starting from the left but you could win up to 15 free spins as well as a scatter payout. During the free spins you could land more sheriff’s badges and each time you do, they’ll be added to your counter. At the end of the round you’ll receive a bonus prize depending on how many you have.
Taking over the West
If you’re on a mission to take over the whole of the Wild West there’s lots of other slots you could play which offer a similar theme. In fact, the Wild West is so popular that you’ll be inundated with options from more or less every developer on the market!
High Noon by Nucleus Gaming is one slot which particularly resembles True Sheriff with 3D high quality graphics and an almost identical design with a gunslinger in front of the gameboard and reels set slap bang in the centre of the dusty street. Uncannily there’s also a pistol duel shootout for a bonus play – just like True Sheriff – and there’s plenty of other features such as wilds and free spins too.
Line Them up Cowboy!
True Sheriff from Betsoft is an online video slot which offers the player the chance to take over the Wild West and bring those hard drinking, gun toting criminals into line. With superb graphics there’s an added realism which immerses the player totally into the game. There’s a medium volatility so you can expect fairly regular wins making this a great game for intermediate to advanced players in particular.
