The ICE industry gathering in London ended a couple of weeks ago and while we have covered plenty of the new releases and awards that were handed out over the week, one thing that has been missing from the news is new partnerships and agreements that have come about as a result of the industry showcase. After all, the conference gives gaming companies an opportunity to show off what they have to offer within the industry in the hope of attracting interested parties. The first new agreement was announced this week, however, as CORE Gaming has entered into a partnership with Sky to provide a new and unique range of table games.
While CORE may not be the most familiar name in the industry, they have been working diligently over recent months on their HTML5 platform, which has become the code of choice in the gaming industry, allowing games to hit desktops, tablets and smartphones at the same time. Teaming up with Sky is of course something of a coup for CORE as they look to establish themselves. After all, Sky is one of the biggest companies in the UK and their heavily promoted Sky Vegas brand is the choice of many UK players, not to mention featuring on our list of recommended online casinos.
The first game scheduled for release under the new partnership is a brand new take on mobile roulette, which pushes CORE’s HTML5 platform to its genuine limits and is expected to be unlike anything that mobile players have ever seen before, either at Sky Vegas or elsewhere for that matter.
Mark Rehorst-Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at CORE Gaming, commented on exactly how much of an opportunity the partnership with Sky provides, saying: “The team at CORE Gaming has been keen to demonstrate the power of its latest HTML5 technical offering and when the challenge was presented to create an industry leading mobile first roulette product, it was the perfect opportunity. The finished product has exceeded all expectations; from its innovative bet placement mechanism to its fully rendered 3D wheel with bespoke physics engine. The game will be one of the first truly multi-channel deliveries – another achievement that confirms CORE’s place at the forefront of the development sector. We are thrilled to be working with Sky, one of the UK’s most successful casino brands, and we look forward to rolling out more table games in the next few months.”
Samuel Downey, Head of Casino Games at Sky Vegas, also commented on the impact that he expects CORE’s offering to have on the brand, saying: “We set CORE Gaming the challenge of creating the best roulette game on mobile and tablet devices. They have certainly exceeded expectations. With the launch of Sky Roulette, we are truly productising the roulette experience for players. By tracking every in game action, we will continue to evolve the product to ensure that it remains the best roulette experience on the market.”
Sky Vegas and its players are of course no strangers to enjoying a wide and diverse selection of games from a number of different operators. The casino includes games from Net Entertainment, IGT, Cryptologic and many more and CORE is simply the latest addition to a long list.
