There are three groupings of fruit symbols to look out for during the main game in 20 Super Hot. The Oranges, Lemons and the Cherries all pay out at the same rate – 20 coins, 40 coins and 100 coins for matching three, four or five respectively.
Then there are the Plums and the Watermelon, which earn players 10 coins for matching three, 20 coins for four and 100 coins for spinning five across one of your 20 paylines.
But the best of the bunch, if you’ll pardon the pun, are the Grapes: these earn players 20 coins for three, 80 coins for four and 400 coins for five.
This wouldn’t be an EGT slot game without the two special symbols to look forward to spinning: the wild, which in this case is the lucky number 7, substitutes for all symbols apart from the scatter, and the great thing about that is it can help to create winning spins where otherwise there may not be any to be found.
And that’s not the only benefit of the wild symbol, as it also pays out in the standard way for matching three or more on your reels: that’s 40 coins, 400 coins and 1,000 coins respectively.
Then there is the scatter symbol, the big Yellow Star, and this earns some outstanding prizes: 100 coins for a treble, 400 coins for a quadruple and a staggering 10,000 coins for spinning a nap hand.
Juicy Fruity Jackpot
20 Super Hot features a bonus game too, entitled Jackpot Cards. This pays as a four-level mystery jackpot, and will be triggered randomly when the Jackpot Cards come into play. Each level of the jackpot prize is represented by the different suits of a playing card: Clubs, Spades, Diamonds and Hearts.
You will be presented with 12 playing cards laying face down, and if you can pick three cards of the same suit then you will win the corresponding prize.
For any wins that are less than 700 coins, players can also gamble their winnings in an attempt to double up. All you need to do is correctly guess he colour of a playing card – red or black. You can attempt this gamble three times, but remember if you guess incorrectly then you will lose all of your winnings.
Five a day
There is a lot to be admired about EGT’s slot games, and it is little wonder that the ‘Super Hot’ series is one of their most popular collection of games.
The premise is simple – there are no wacky bonus games or stacks of different symbols to try and remember – just simple fruits, the 7 and the Star. Matches win prizes in 20 Super Hot; it is as simple as that.
Players remain fully in control of their wagers at all times too. You can use the handy buttons at the bottom of the game screen to set your bet per spin, with coin denominations ranging from 20, 40, 100, 200 and 400. Once you’re happy with your bet, click that big green Start button and sit back and relax as (hopefully) numerous winning spins come in. If you’re feeling a bit lazy, or are happy to bet level stakes per spin, you can always use the Autospin feature, which will spin for the same bet amount each time until you deactivate it.
It’s not all plain sailing in 20 Super Hot, however. The lack of a free spins round is a disappointment and denies players an excellent opportunity to accumulate some fine winnings. But even so, this is a game to cherished thanks to its brilliant replay value.
