I’m not sure if this game was based on The Jungle Book, but it does draw some similarities. All manner of wonderful creatures from the animal kingdom could walk, crawl, fly, swim or flutter onto your reels.
But first things first, let’s take a look at the playing card symbols. There’s Ace, King, Queen and Jack, and these are grouped together in terms of their prize payouts. So you’ll pick up 5 coins for matching three of these, 25 coins for four and a nice round 100 for five.
Next in the food chain are the two reptiles, the colourful Frog and the Lizard. 10 coins, 50 coins and 125 coins are the prizes on offer for matching three, four or five of these respectively, and your mates will be green with envy if you scoop that top prize.
Then there are your feathered friends, the Parrot and the Hummingbird. Should these swoop down on to your reels you will be rewarded handsomely: 15 coins for three, 75 coins for four and 250 coins for five, to be precise.
Surprisingly high up the food chain in this Amazonia habitat is the Otter, and you won’t be swimming against the tide any longer should you match three (20 coins), four (100 coins) or five (400 coins) of this cheeky scamp on one of your 20 paylines.
Last of the main game symbols, but by no means least, is the king of the swingers, the Oranguta, and king of the floor, the Tiger. Land three or more of these powerful beasts and you will be in business to the tune of 25 coins, 125 coins or 700 coins.
This River is Wild
The wild symbol in Amazing Amazonia is the flowing River, and this offers a multitude of rewards for players keen to take a dip. Firstly, it pays out handsomely in its own right: 250 coins for a trio, 2,500 for four in a row and a huge 10,000 kitty for spinning a line of five.
The wild substitutes for all other symbols apart from the scatter too, and this is where it really comes into its own. Each winning combination that the wild contributes to will be subject to a 2x multiplier. This doubling effect can turn even the most mundane of winning spins into truly special payouts, and we must say that the inclusion of this feature is particularly generous on EGT’s part.
Float Like a Butterfly
It’s not a creature that you would necessarily say holds much weight in the rainforest, but in Amazing Amazonia the humble Butterfly really comes into its own.
As the scatter, the Butterfly holds the key to some fantastic wins in this game. It pays 20 coins, 50 coins, 200 coins and 5,000 coins for matching two to five anywhere on your reels, and three or more unlocks one of Amazing Amazonia’s key prizes: the free spins bonus.
You’ll pocket 20 freebies by picking up three or more Butterflies – happy days – and as if that wasn’t enough to get the old gaming juices flowing then you’ll love to hear that each of these freebies is subject to a 3x multiplier! That is as rewarding a free spins bonus round as you could hope to enjoy, and it can even be re-triggered mid-round too.
Another handy key to unlocking the prize-winning door is the Gamble feature. If you win less than 350 coins on your spin, and feel that that is not lucrative enough for you, then you can attempt to double up by gambling on the outcome of the turn of a playing card. Guess red or black and if you are correct you will double your prize.
Lastly, don’t think we’d forgotten about the Jackpot Cards feature. This bad boy pays out one of those top prizes you can see whirring at the top of your screen, and all you need to do is pick three matching suits of playing card from a selection of 12 (tip: you can’t lose!). And this jackpot juggernaught is randomly triggered and can be done so by any bet amount, so all players have a shot at the big time in Amazing Amazonia.
