If you’re a fan of retro TV shows – or you’re old enough to remember the originals, shhhh! – then you will welcome The Price is Right by Fremantle, an online video slot which pays homage to a classic game. A much-loved show on both sides of the Atlantic, this slow recreates the same big-money atmosphere with its line up of valuable prizes – albeit in cartoon form!

A vast array of secret features and bonus plays combine with 25 paylines and the ability to bet high in this faithful revival of a small screen favourite. But will you be on the dollar with your ability to guess the right price? Here’s a review of The Price Is Right by Fremantle with all the info you need.

Max out Your Max Bet

Although there’s no doubt that money speaks, the design of this game isn’t too brash and the 5 reels you’ll be playing on are a cool white which contrast nicely with the symbols. There’s a maximum of 25 paylines but it’s possible to reduce these if your budget won’t stretch to keeping every single one active. The scope for betting is also impressive, starting from just 0.01 per line and rising to 25.00. This provides a total min bet of just 0.25 and a total max bet which tops out at 625.00.

Or does it? In this game, bigger is always better and if you have the cash to spare you can activate the secret feature will allows you to really max out your bet. If you play on a normal max bet, and then also agree to add x10 line bet, you’ll be given the chance to spin the Big Wheel Bonus after your turn. This will either give you a multiplier or unlock a special mini game for play.

Bonus After Bonus

Money talks in this game and so there’s an almost limitless amount of features and bonuses that you could trigger with every turn.  Different scatter symbols unlock different plays, from the Mini Game feature to Secret X, Cliff Hangers and of course the Showcase where the car is wheeled out.

The Mini Game feature will open if you manage to land three of the Host symbols on the board, or alternatively land on this prize on the Big Wheel Bonus. Players will be able to pick from either Secret X or Cliff Hangers. In the former they’ll need to move crosses around a 9-box grid to try and match up the correct prices on the item. If you manage to get at least one right, the Secret X in in the centre of the reels will be revealed. What you win could be anything from x8 upwards, with the position of the crosses in either a vertical or horizontal pattern deciding the outcome. In the Cliff Hangers feature you’ll receive 8 free spins before watching a hiker climb up a cliff. After a brief sojourn upwards they will stop and you’ll need to decide whether to stick where you are or allow the climber to continue. If the hiker resumes climbing then his second stop will be your final prize, and it could be lower than what you’re on now – or they could even fall off! But if you’re lucky you could receive up to x7 as a multiplier.

Commission a Series

There’s really only one show of this kind, but if you’ve enjoyed seeing a TV programme recreated on the reels, there’s many others in this genre too. Jeopardy is arguably one of the most famous TV quizzes ever, and now IGT have developed a version for play on the reels. With 9 paylines and 5 reels, there’s some big value bonuses on offer too including a potential $25,000 jackpot!

Come on Down!

In this game you don’t need to wait for your name to be called out as anyone can play The Price Is Right from Fremantle. An online video slot which combines the need for street savvy price awareness with the ability to spin the reels, you have unlimited chances to win here. Fremantle games are often complex and this is no exception, pushing it out of bounds for newbies but creating a cracking play for anyone with a bit of experience.
