The Da Vinci Code!
He’s probably heralded as one of the most-known and successful polymaths in the world, and his works of art have hung in galleries around the world. However, it’s on this game’s five reel and three row layout that you’ll need to find some of them. They’ve been transformed into a few different symbols, although these aren’t the only thing you’ll find included. There’s also the addition of three different gemstones – a red ruby, a blue sapphire and a green emerald – which you’ll be able to collect on your way towards locating the pieces of art. And speaking of these, three of Da Vinci’s most famous works are icons as well – La belle ferronnière, Madonna of the Yarnwinder and one of his own self-portraits. The game’s logo makes up a fourth higher paying icon.
The developer has also added a total of 20 different pay lines into the game as well, but these can be adjusted to suit your own personal preferences, should you have the need to do so. Furthermore, you can also change around the value of the wager that you place per spin, and this offers up a range of between $0.01 and $10 per active bet line, meaning that you can place a maximum overall wager across all 20 lines of $200 per spin.
Locate the Paintings
Finding some pieces of artwork might sound like a pretty easy task, but it might just be a bit harder than you imagined. To combat this, the game has a few special features included in it, giving you as much assistance as possible to do so successfully. The first of these specialities can be seen in action as soon as you start making winning combinations, and this is known as the ‘Tumbling Reels’ feature. Once you form wins, the pay out for such will be added to your balance, and following on from this, the icons incorporated into such will disappear, leaving gaps to be filled. New icons will fall from the top of the screen, filling the spaces, and if more wins are formed, the process starts again.
There’s also a symbol which states ‘WILD’ on it, and believe it or not, this is the game’s wild icon. As such, it will act as a substitute for all other symbols on the reels, except for the ‘Bonus’ icon. Wilds can only show up on reels two, three and four.
And speaking of the ‘Bonus’ icon, this is the one you’ll need to keep a close eye on, as it can trigger the freespins round of the game. You’ll need to spin three of these on to reels one, two and three on an active bet line in order to be the recipient of six freespins. Different reels will be used for this round, and the three of Leonardo’s paintings will become scatters, paying out wherever they show up on the reels. The bonus symbol will also become a scatter, granting extra freespins whenever three or more show up.
Art Is Subjective
Regardless of whether you’re a Da Vinci admirer or not, this game has an intriguing theme and interesting game play. The special features are worked into it nicely, and as always, High 5 Games have outdone themselves on the stellar graphics!
