Gemstones are Forever…
The layout of this game stands at five reels and three rows, providing a very familiar layout to players. The symbols appearing within the product are all based around the precious stone, so you’ll find A, J, K, Q and 10 symbols which have all been designed to look like a structural make up of one. In addition to these, players will see icons of four different coloured gemstones appearing on the reels, starting with the red ruby and the green emerald and followed by the blue sapphire before finally seeing the highest paying transparent diamond. Five of these on a winning pay line can pay out up to 500,000 coins.
A total of 10 pay lines have been included in the game alongside its standard layout, and these are set in place as they are. However, you are able to change the bet per line around, which starts off from its minimum of four coins and can be increased right up to 1000. Therefore, all players have the opportunity of placing a maximum wager of 10,000 per spin. In addition to these options, players can instantly max their bet out with the ‘Max Bet’ button, or set the reels off on a set of consecutive spins with the ‘AutoSpin’ button.
Watch out for the Jackpot!
This game has one or two special options included in it, starting with the ‘Mystery Bonus’. This is triggered at the end of a losing game, or after a progressive jackpot win. It provides you with the chance of receiving a random mystery bonus. There are four of these available, with different features to affect game play. These are as follows:
- Rewind – This will nudge up one or more of the reels a certain number of times to afford you an easy win.
- Fast Forward – This feature nudges down one or more of the reels in order to achieve a win.
- All Symbols Pay Scatter – This allows all winning combinations to pay wherever they appear on the reels, instead of only on winning pay lines.
- Domino Symbol – A symbol will move around the reels with this feature, changing the symbols that it passes over into copies of itself. This provides a guaranteed win.
The progressive jackpot which is included in this game can be seen at the top of the reels. Players have the opportunity to win this on any spin. It’s randomly awarded, and if it is awarded, all the reels will turn multi-coloured and your balance will increase by the displayed amount.
There’s also a gamble feature incorporated into the game, which is triggered at the end of every winning combination. Should you choose to go for the gamble feature, you’ll be presented with a deck of playing cards. It’s up to you to guess the colour of the next playing card to be turned over, and if you’re able to guess correctly, you’ll see your winnings double. An incorrect guess, on the other hand, will see them all lost.
A Decent Enough Offering
Mazooma are very largely hit and miss when it comes to the games they provide. Sometimes they get it right on the mark, while other times they tend to suffer from neglect in certain areas. Diamonds of Fortune, while not being thematically anything special, does provide some nice additional extras, especially the ability to be on the receiving end of a mystery bonus. Included in the game are some quality graphics, and it doesn’t run along the lines of a standard product from this developer, which makes it a nice change.
