Microgaming are renowned for their complex games that use their impressive design skills to their full potential. That’s the five-reel games though and here in ‘Diamond 7’s’ we have a game that is rather basic yet still entertaining and with the potential to give its player some tasty profits.
With it being a three-reel game, this means everything can go onto one screen. The only information away from the main screen is the help section which is accessed by clicking the ‘Help’ button which is down at the bottom of the screen. That brings up another window that tells you useful information about how the game runs. As you’ll read, this isn’t a complex game at all but it’s good to know as much as you can about the game you’re playing. So, have a read, then enjoy some free games just to get used to how everything runs.
So, to the impressive look of this game. Ok it’s basic but looks great. There’s a blue laser like background and from then on, it’s bling all the way. That’s illustrated by the big Diamond 7’s logo which is in the bottom left hand corner of the screen underneath the reels. Everything is encrusted in diamonds, who knows you might be able to afford some if getting a good win here.
The reels are in the top left hand corner of the screen and include some familiar symbols for those of you who have been playing slot games for a while. With more sophisticated Microgaming releases we’d probably see images of women wearing diamonds but not here. We get cherries, single, double, and triple bars, red 7’s and diamond 7’s.
There’s just the one pay-line for you to be trying to get some wins on. The cost of playing this game depends on your budget (only spend what you can afford to lose) and how much you want to win. The coin range goes from €0.25 to $25. With no decision to make over how many pay-lines to play, your decisions are how the size of coin you want to play with and how many coins you play on each spin of the reels.
The control buttons are down the bottom of the screen. Once the coin range has been selected you can press the Bet One button to choose to play either one or two coins. If you want to play all three coins, just press ‘Bet Max’ and away you go.
Chase the Diamond 7’s
So how much can you win in this game? The top prize is given for three Diamond 7’s symbols. Here’s where It gets interesting because the only way you can win the top prize of 2500x your coin stake. If you only bet one coin, three Diamond 7’s will win you 500x, two coins bring you a welcome 1000x but that final coin more than doubles the potential win. Just stake what you can afford.
For all other wins, it’s a standard rise in win available. For example, three red 7’s win you 80x if playing with one coin, add on another coin and that’s another 80x added giving you 160x and the final coin takes the win up another 80x to 240x, not a bad win. The smallest wins are for the cherries with a prize of either 2x, 4x or 6x if just one end up on the pay-line.
If you need a bit of time away from the reels play in expert mode for the ability to set an autoplay feature.
A standard three-reel Microgaming slot. Easy on the eye and equally as easy to operate. The top prize is a good one, shame there’s no bonus game or wild but that’s often the case with these games. It’s still worth playing and ideal if you’re new to slot games.
