Twister Slot

You never quite know what the weather is going to be but if a twister comes your way then it’s time to look out. It’s a bit safer in this slot from Microgaming though with some good wins hopefully blowing your way.

Twisters are usually to be found in the USA but the way the weather is these days, you do get a few over in the UK now and then. Local roof repairers must have a big smile on their face and so will you if the big wins come your way playing this game.

This is a five-reel game that has a total of three rows of symbols and 15 pay-lines hopefully blowing wins in your direction. ‘Twister’ is a bright and cheerful looking game that has a real cartoonish look to it, not that I’m complaining.

Blow those Wins My Way

Symbols include a wooden outhouse, a caravan, a petrol station and a pick-up truck. None seem to be where they are supposed to be thanks to the twister that has hit town. Then there’s the town’s inhabitants who look a right bunch.  There’s a rather well-endowed blonde who’s overdone the lipstick probably because of the cocktail and cigarette she’s got. Mind you, if I had a twister heading in my direction I might head for the cocktails and cigarettes.

There’s an old woman who has curlers in her hair and she’s busy smoking too. If the local cigarette shop gets blown away these two are going to struggle. We also get a young gap-toothed boy in a baseball cap and an old man with silver hair.

That Twister is Wild

The wild symbol here is the twister. This has a great look to it and for some reason has human features. You’ll be blown away when you see this, especially when it becomes animated. This can substitute for other symbols to get you some wins. Not the scatter though which is the Breaking News symbol. That plays a big part in triggering the bonus game, more about that in a short while.

It’s a relatively easy game to play with all the control buttons underneath the reels. This allows you to set your stake for each spin of the reels with relative ease. The minimum cost of playing this game is €0.15 and the maximum is €150 if playing the €1-coin level, placing 10 coins on a line and activating all 15 pay-lines.

To make sure you know exactly what’s going on in this game, make sure you access the paytable. This can really help you as it has all the details about how much each of the winning combinations pay. There’s also information about the bonus game. After reading that you can have some free games and see the game in action.

Bonus Twister

With that twister blowing everything seems to be in a bit of a spin. However, if three or more of the scatter symbols (everything is scattered after that twister hits), then you are awarded some free spins. They can appear anywhere on the reels so even activating just one pay-line will put you in with a chance of activating the bonus game. You’re awarded 20 free spins and all wins during them are doubled. It’s also possible to re-trigger the free spins if those scatters blow into town again.

The game also has a gamble feature. Now this can be as dodgy as taking the dog for a walk when the twister is heading your way. You don’t have to go for the gamble which appears when you get a winning combination in the base game. It’s the usual game of trying to double your win by correctly guessing the colour of the next card. Five correct guesses are allowed but get one guess wrong and you lose your win.

Final View

Another great slot from Microgaming. It totally plays up to its theme with no sign of any playing cards (they’d be easily blown away I guess). There’s a lot of humour in this game which is always good to see. It has some good wins and the bonus game will really get you some big wins especially if you can re-trigger it.  Definitely worth a play.
