We all love magic, don’t we? We all loved watching the disappearing bunny trick when we were young and reacting to the person cut in half and then put back together, which is why it’s such a great theme choice for an online slots game. Grabbing this premise by the horns, Nektan have devised the mystical Magic Touch, a release that is sure to get players talking.

No matter how underwhelming the hype surrounding this game has been, there’s just something “magical” about it. All jokes aside, is Magic Touch a good slot game? The following review delivers the true low-down on this new Nektan title!

Before Your Very Eyes

Magic Touch was made for mobile platforms, unlike most other slot games that have been modified later on to be played on smartphones. This makes the game run a lot smoother than the majority of phone slot games. That being said, since it is a phone focused game, your expectations would be pretty low when it comes to graphics, but surprisingly, this game is actually quite stunning.

You can see the magician alongside his beautiful assistant on either side of the reels, basically welcoming you to his new trick. You can also see a couple of bunnies hopping away, doves flying above the reels, mysterious chests strangely placed around the bottom of the screen, and a ton of magic cards splattered all across the screen. Needless to say, the game is very impressive graphics wise, especially for a mobile-centric release.

Get Ready for the Show

The gameplay in this medium variance game is about as basic as you’d expect, just tap the reels and watch at them spin. Choose how much you want to bet by tapping the “Stake & Lines” tab and if you want to make sure you go all out then turn on the “Auto Spins” feature that comes with the game. Just sit back and relax while you count your blessings every time you get a nice combination on your screen.

From a cost perspective, this game is super-affordable. The lowest total wager to cover all 25 paylines is just 0.25, with the max wager being 25.00. Yes, this game lacks when it comes to high roller credentials, but anyone on the hunt for bargain can’t go wrong by playing Magic Touch. On top of that, you can just ignore most winnings in the game, since you won’t make any profit from any of them, except for the scatter, the wild, the doves and the chests. Those last ones offer the highest rewards in the game, so keep an eye out for them.

An Additional Trick or Two

The magician represents the wild of the game, while his assistant represents the scatter. Both of these symbols act just as you expect, so if you’ve tried a Nektan title before you should have no problems here. The magician can substitute for any other symbol in the game except for his assistant while his assistant will give the players 15 free spins. We can be up front and say that Magic Touch is hardly bumper on the bonus front, but it does slide a few nice features in here and there.

From Jungle Ruins to Open Water

Magic Touch is a Nektan title, but it certainly isn’t the best effort we’ve seen from the developer. If you really want to get to the heart of what this developer is all about, you are going to have to delve deep into the brand’s back catalogue. Thankfully for you, we’ve made the task that much easier, as we’ve pulled out three games similar to Magic Touch below.

For starters, we can’t ignore Cave Raiders, which is arguably the jewel on the Nektan crown. If something jungle-based isn’t quite to your tastes, we would recommend that you turn your head towards the super-sweet Candy Swap. Finally, Plucky Pirates lets you set sail across the seven seas, not just across 5-reels.

Get a Feel for the Magic Touch!

Breaking matters down, if you’re looking for a good mobile slot game then there’s no better choice than Magic Touch. The graphics are top notch; it’s easy to use, and generally all round enjoyable. Yes, the bonus features here probably aren’t up to par, but that’s by no means enough for us to not recommend this game to other slots fans.
