Vibrant, Sparkly Reels
This is one of the latest releases from Netent, although its layout is very much the regular style, presenting players with a total of five reels and three rows. Gamers will also be able to see that the icons included on these are quite simple on the whole, with the standard A, J, K, Q and 10 icons all appearing, as well as five different shapes. Each of these shapes is a different colour, with red, orange, green, purple and blue all making appearances, and each of them has a vibrant light emanating from its core. This is where the idea of sparks comes into play. Apart from these, there is only a single other symbol included in game play, which provides the product with one of its extra additions.
Alongside its reels and rows, players will also have the opportunity to place wagers on the game’s pay lines, which stand at 20. These are not able to be customised, but there is a special feature which will affect how you’re able to win. This, we’ll get to later. You’ll also be able to change around the amount of the wager you place per spin, which can be done by switching around the ‘Level’ and the ‘Coin Value’ boxes. The first of these is able to be altered between one and 10, while the second can be changed between its minimum amount of $0.01 and its maximum of $2 per line. Should these both be pushed up to their highest limits, players can place a maximum overall wager of $400 per round.
A Glimmer of Specialities
As soon as you start this game, you’re presented with one of its special features, which is the possibility of winning both ways. Players are able to choose in the first instance whether this is activated or not, and if it isn’t, wins will only be counted from left to right. In ‘Win One Way’ mode, only the highest win per active bet line is paid out, while in ‘Win Both Ways’ mode, only the highest win per active bet line from both ways is paid. This is also able to be switched around during the game as well, so it’s not something that you need to set in motion from the start and then stick with throughout the entirety. There is a button in the bottom right hand corner to change from one to the other quickly enough.
The wild symbol in this game is represented by a big ‘W’, which is backed by a luminous blue spark. Wild symbols can appear randomly anywhere on the reels and will substitute for all other symbols except for ‘Expanding Cloning Wild’ icons, which we’ll get to shortly. These symbols will substitute for the highest possible winning combination on a bet line, and if you manage to spin five of them on to a pay line, you’ll be rewarded with a maximum pay out of $200.
As far as the expanding cloning wilds are concerned, these can appear anywhere on reels two and four, and they work in the same way as the standard wild in the first instance, standing in for others to form a win. However, it also has an extra benefit. It may just stay in its present form as a wild, but it could also expand up or down, or in both directions. It can also clone the adjacent symbol(s) from the reel on its left to the reel(s) on its right. Should these icons appear on reels two and four in the same spin and on the same row, the first clone symbol(s) are cloned once more.
A Great Game
Sparks may not appear to be anything intensely special from the first glance, but it holds many different wonders, and provides gamers with an intelligent and entertaining product to play. In that instance, it has swiftly become one of our favourite Netent games, and the favourite of many other players in the process.
