Step into the Past
The Wild West used to be a big, bad place and as soon as you get a glimpse at what’s going on here you’ll soon realise that you’ve been transported back in time.
You’ll need to be at your gunslinging best to survive in this town, with a variety of hoodlums just waiting to beat you to the goodies.
The graphics are comic style which means that it doesn’t matter that they’re not the most sophisticated. The overall effect is a cartoon with plenty of detail – and one that you’d want to read more of!
In the background, there’s a great depiction of the hot and arid desert, with a cactus or two in the foreground and a freight train that runs periodically in the distance. Is this the train holding the loot? It’s up to you to defeat the baddies and grab the cash.
Play for Cash
The reels beautifully complement the background, with an industrial feel that hangs perfectly with the idea of a train heist.
But before you go on to claim a prize or too, you’ll need to meet those determined to get in your way. You’ll find symbols including ornate designs of all the four playing card suits together with four shifty looking characters all of whom are brandishing some kind of weapon or adopting a threatening pose.
If you want to win, you’ll need to spin at least three of a kind with the club, heart, spade and diamond taking the bottom four slots on the board. Spin three of these and you’ll will between 5 and 10; if your matches increase to five and you’ll receive up to 100.
Move along to the top end of the board and you’ll see the payouts increase for matching three or more of the bad guys. The sneering female bandit is the highest value symbol, paying out 500 for matching five on an active payline.
You can increase your chances of winning with a variety of wild symbols which also appear on the reels, substituting for regular symbols.
Careful Where You Click!
There isn’t a big bonus round in the Wild Wild West but there is a bonus feature that you can enjoy if you spin the right symbols.
The bonus symbols can be found on reels 1, 3 and 5 and if you manage to land at least three you’ll unlock the bonus feature which is known as Pick and Click.
You’ll have the chance to win coins with up to x50 your bet waiting to be claimed. All you have to do is click on the bonus symbol you think will give you the biggest prize but pick carefully! You’ll only get one click per bonus feature before you return to the main play.
Play Low or High
The Wild Wild West can accommodate both low and high betters, with enough flexibility to change the stake as often as you want.
Although the 10 paylines are fixed you can choose how much you want to bet on each line by selecting the number of coins plus their value. You can opt to play with between 0.01 and 1.00 per coin with between 1 and 10 coins playable on each payline. All of the lines are identical so you can’t pick and choose how to play.
This means that the minimum possible bet is just 0.10 with 0.01 wagered on each payline with a max bet of 100.00.
If you’re planning on a long session you can use the Auto Play feature. This spins the reels automatically at the betting level you’ve specified. You can switch this feature off whenever you choose, either to start playing again manually or to alter the bet level.
Shoot ‘Em Up!
Wild Wild West by NetEnt is a fun, comic book-style slot which will appeal to those who like this genre. You won’t find the very top prizes but there are still plenty of chances to win with extra features such as bonuses and wilds.
