Straight out of the Pyramids

First of all, it should be mentioned that Crocodopolis is inspired by an Ancient Egyptian city that existed way back when the pharaohs ruled all. The most popular thing about the city is the fact that the ancient Sobek cult lived here. The main deity that the people from Crocodopolis prayed to was a crocodile named Petsuchos that was embellished with gems and gold. Every couple of years, a crocodile would be chosen and kept in a special temple alongside a pond, unlimited food and sand. After that crocodile would eventually die, a new crocodile would be chosen as the Petsuchos. So, in conclusion, as you may have guessed, the game doesn’t lack originality nor story, as its all things Ancient Egypt.

From the moment you enter the game you are welcomed by the desert that roams the Egyptian world. If you look left you can see the oasis and some camels passing by, if you look right you can see several poisonous scorpions, while in the middle of the screen you can clearly see the reels, standing on a sand dune. Overall, the theme and story of Crocodopolis really does hit the mark.

Loaded with Golden Coins

From a gameplay standpoint, Crocodopolis really does tow the developer line, as this medium variance game serves up 5 reels, 3 rows, and 25 paylines. When it comes to overall game control, you have the Auto Play button, which can be set to make up to 500 automatic spins, outside of this, this game plays like any other real money slots title. Looking at the cost of Crocodopolis, you can bet up to 125.00 credits per spin at most, with the minimum being of 0.25.

Taking a Slide

The Slide a Wild feature, in which you get to choose a side, is the star of the show here. If you find the Croc on the right side then you will be awarded with all of your payouts being doubled, then if you get it right again then your winnings will be tripled and if you’re lucky enough to get it three times in a row then the Croc will expand and you’ll get a much bigger reward. No matter what you win while the Croc is expanded, the awards will be tripled.

If you can get three scatters at the same time anywhere on the reels then you will get 12 free spins. Every reward you get during these free spins will be doubled. If you can get three more scatters during this mode, then you will get an extra 12 free spins that will be added to the 12 other spins you got before.

Here Comes the Judge

Crocodopolis has a huge hook in the sliding wild feature; because of this the game is almost sure to secure an audience. Nextgen Gaming certainly know that they are onto a winner with this feature, so it only makes sense that they have thrown it into a couple of other titles that are likely to grab the interest of players. These two games are the aptly titled Easy Slider and the movie themed Judge Dredd. Arguably acting as Crocodopolis clones (25 paylines, 5×3 reel setup, 95% to 96% RTP), you would certainly be best served in checking these titles out.

Crocodopolis Keeps the Action Coming!

Crocodopolis lives up to the hype and is indeed an incredibly fun slot game to play, even if the base game could do with a little additional zip at times. The atmosphere is spot on, the soundtrack is great, the prizes are solid, and overall the game is just very enjoyable. While it’s not the best Ancient Egypt themed around, Crocodopolis is certainly worth a look.
