Strolling Down the Strip
It was strongly hinted at in the introduction to this review, but by taking a single look at this game you will see that Hot Roller is Las Vegas through and through. Every inch of the game resembles the famous Nevada-based city, with neon lights being found here, there, and everywhere. What is pretty clear about Hot Roller is that the game is loaded with style and pizzazz. If we’re being up front, this is actually one of the better-looking NextGen games we’ve seen in quite some time.
Adding to the overall theme of Hot Rollers, the symbols here really do carry plenty of sheen and sparkle. The usual low-value playing card symbols have been given a full Las Vegas style makeover, with these symbols complimented by the likes of a cocktail, a roulette wheel, a pile of poker chips, a green-jacketed croupier, a pair of dice, and even an effortlessly alluring blonde showgirl.
Getting on a Hot Streak
As a game, Hot Roller is super easy to play, as NextGen has done it again with regards to delivering basic yet brilliant gameplay. For starters, this game has a wide-ranging wager selection, with numbers starting at just 0.25, before being ramped all the way up to 62.50. Controls wise, this game follows suit on the simplicity front, as splashed across the bottom of the screen you’ll see a panel that features buttons for ‘Info’, ‘Autoplay’, ‘Total Bet’, ‘Win’, ‘Spin’, and ‘Bet Max’. While by no means a gameplay marvel, you can’t argue against just how easy Hot Roller is to pick up.
Dice, Dimes, and Showgirls
Considering that this game is based around all things Las Vegas, you are right to expect it to have a bumper array of bonus features at your disposal. Leading the charge on this front is the glamorous showgirl, which represents the wild symbol here. She can step in to replace low-value symbols in the game, grabbing you a show-stealing payout in the process.
If doubling your money isn’t enough to float your boat, the game also includes a scatter symbol in the form of the flaming red dice. Land two or three of these gems and you’ll find a bevy of free spins heading your way. In true Las Vegas fashion, the bonus features within this game are rounded off with a gamble feature. Classic and can’t miss, if you can take on the risk, this feature could give your bottom line an unbelievable boost.
Sure It up with Something Similar
Hot Roller is bringing the heat, so it’s certainly no shock to see players wanting to experience games that fall along similar lines. Thankfully, what fans of Hot Roller have is choice, as there are many great options out there. Looking at another top developer, Microgaming has seemingly sought to mimic the formula of Hot Roller through two games in particular. The games we will push players towards are Mega Moolah Isis and Sure It Up, as both of these titles feature 25 paylines, 5 reels, and 3 rows, along with many of the same bonus elements as Hot Roller.
Hot Roller Rocks the Reels!
Slot games that attempt to dazzle are a dime a dozen, but none really do it on quite the same level that Hot Roller does. This medium variance game does amazing things, with bright lights and glamour found throughout. Replicating the Las Vegas strip down to the finest detail, Hot Roller is a NextGen release that you simply can’t afford to ignore!
