Don’t you think it would be great to be a member of a Royal Family? Being the reigning monarch of a country. A figurehead so to speak. And while that side of it would be great, no doubt, the monetary side of it would also likely be exceptionally grandiose. Imagine living in a palace, adorned with luxury furnishings and decorations. Travelling about in the world’s best and most chic private jets or cars. Well, perhaps ‘Royal Treasures’ from Novomatic will give you a slight insight into what that kind of life could be like. It’s a fairly substandard game in terms of how it’s presented and the graphics incorporated within, but on the whole, it offers up a nicely themed product with its own special sort of charm.

The Coronation of a Queen!

The interface of this game stands at five reels and three rows, so Novomatic isn’t really offering up anything spectacularly different in terms of this. These reels offer up an interesting selection of icons as well though, ranging from a jewel-studded ring, through to a sparkling sword and a bejewelled sceptre. There’s also a Sovereign’s Orb included alongside, while the coronation of the next monarch is completed by a regal crown. Furthermore, the standard A, J, K, Q, 9 and 10 icons are all included, as is a symbol of a tiara and a shot of a very majestic palace.

In addition to its reels and rows, Royal Treasures also contains a total of nine separate pay lines. These are fully customisable, so if you prefer wagering on less, you can do so by utilising the relative buttons at the bottom of the screen. The credit value is set at $1 in this one, but players do have the option of altering around the bet placed per line. This can be altered between the minimum of one and the maximum of 100, thereby giving a maximum overall wager possibility of $900 per spin.

And All the Treasures of the Castle!

Many online slot games tend to have a variety of special features included in them, and this one also features one or two additions to further increase the appeal of it. This begins with its wild symbol, which is represented by the ornately decorated crown. This will stand in for all other icons on the reels in order to make a winning combination, with the exception of scatters. Furthermore, the icon will double the pay out when included in a match.

Alongside the wild symbol is a scatter icon, which comes in the form of the aforementioned palace. This pays out wherever it appears on the reel, with five showing up paying out a maximum of $450,000. Should three or more make an appearance, you’ll be rewarded with 15 freespins of the reels, and all wins during this round will be multiplied by three. Furthermore, during the round, the freespins can be re-triggered, giving the potential to earn more.

Finally, as an extra added bonus, players will be able to access a gamble feature at the end of every winning combination formed in the main game. This gives you the opportunity to be able to increase your winnings by playing a card game on the side. Choosing to do so will present you with a stack of playing cards, and the aim of the game is to guess the colour of the next card to be turned over, either red or black. Doing so correctly will double your winnings, while an incorrect guess will see you lose them all.

Could You Live the High Life?

The idea of this game is a great one, and on paper it makes for an exceptionally good product. Novomatic have managed to incorporate some intriguing features to it, although the use of those awful arcade tones has to stop at some point. It adds nothing to such games, and instead only makes them sound like they’ve been created for use on a 90s Atari computer. Graphics-wise, it’s not the best, but it’s certainly not the worst either, and overall, the game will provide you with some entertaining times.
