Space Age Imagery
The game presents a five reel and four row layout, which is a fairly unique layout when it comes to slot games. Not completely innovative, but very much different to the norm. On the reels, as mentioned, you’ll find much imagery of space and alternate worlds. So, you’ll find icons of a green-headed alien, a metallic robot-like creature, a space age zapper, a blue asteroid, a cartoon-looking spaceship, and a huge magnet. These are all accompanied by the regular video slot icons, those being A, J, K, Q and 10. Each of these icons is designed in an intricate way, providing detailed imagery and beautifully crafted animations when part of a winning combination.
Alongside these, you’ll find a total of 40 different pay lines have been added to the game by Novomatic, and these are all fixed in place, meaning that this amount is the only amount able to be wagered on. However, you do have the option of switching the bet placed per line, which can be done by utilising the plus and minus buttons at either side of the amount shown. This starts at the minimum of $0.01 and can be altered up to the maximum of $2, and this will therefore provide you with the maximum overall wager of $80 per round. An ‘Autoplay’ button has also been added to the game, allowing you to play several consecutive rounds at the same wager level.
There are a few different special features of this game, all of which make it a lot more enticing. This begins with the wild symbol, which is represented by the logo of the product. If this appears on the reels, it will substitute for all other icons on there, except for the bonus and scatters. Should five of these appear on a winning pay line with the maximum wager placed, you’ll be on the receiving end of a pay out of $1,000.
In addition to this icon, you’ll find that there’s also a bonus symbol. This is represented by the icon with the word, ‘BONUS’ scrawled across it. Should this appear on reels one, three and five in any position, it will initiate the freespins round. A total of 15 of these are provided initially, and re-triggers are not possible.
Furthermore, the game incorporates something called ‘Ultra-Stacks’. Each side of each reel has a substitution region of vertically adjacent matching symbols that aren’t fixed. The symbols appearing in these regions are determined at the beginning of the spin. All ccombinations of substituted symbols are not equally likely.
There’s also a ‘Twist Feature’ integrated into the product, which is activated by the magnet icon. Should this appear on reel five, it will twist all reels together to the next side of the reels. Side one flips to side two, side two to side three, and side three to side four. Once triggered, all logo icons and bonus symbols remain the same. A twist trigger symbol becomes a logo symbol, bonus symbol or another twist trigger, and stacked regions remain as such.
To Put This Game into Context
It’s a nice game to play, for sure, and features many more special extras than the usual products from this developer. Furthermore, it is devoid of awful music, which is another frequent downfall of Novomatic, and on the whole, it gives an entertaining game filled with imaginative graphics and animations.
