Dive into the Future
Fortune Teller is taking player to a gypsy camp, where a famous psychic lives in a tiny caravan. The reels themselves are placed on top of said caravan, with plenty of details to look at. We loved the beautiful light effects coming from the full moon shining in the night sky, while the caravan is all candle lit and heavily decorated.
Fortune Teller is quite lavishly designed, and far away from the classic casino ambiance that you might be familiar with. That being said, the game is objectively beautiful to look at, and easy to play as we will see next.
Focus Your Attention
Fortune Teller is based on 5 reels and 20 paylines, which you can activate at will. Simply use the command bar under the reels and you will be able to bet from 0.20 to 25 credits per spin, which makes the game quite beginner-friendly. Whether you want to take it slow or use the autoplay mode, Fortune Teller runs very smoothly and lets you focus on the action.
With an average volatility, Fortune Teller is giving you decent chances to score big or small cash prizes whenever you spin the reels. You will find the traditional card icons on the paytable, accompanied by the zodiac wheel, a candle, a mysterious hand with an eye, and a dancing gypsy woman. Right from the base game, you can win up to 1,000 times your current bet at any time.
Black Cats and Crystal Balls
We found Fortune Teller quite classic and yet fun to play, and the base game can yield some proper rewards quite fast. Add the crystal ball on top of this, and there you have a wild card ready to help you out. Crystal balls combinations can also deliver a big x5000 reward. The black cats, however, cannot be replaced but work as scatters and can trigger both a cash prize and up to 15 free spins wherever they land in Fortune Teller.
The cards are all bonus symbol, and a combination of 3 of them will take you to a separate screen. There, you will need to choose several tarot cards on the table to uncover your future – and some big wins as well.
Be Careful of Copies
NetEnt has developed another slot game, also called Fortune Teller, but with 30 paylines and a much lower volatility. Be careful not to mix up the 2! The gaming experience is actually quite different.
And if you are a fan of this lesser-known theme, you definitely have to check out Microgaming’s Gypsy Queen, which actually has quite a few similarities with Fortune Teller – with some added multipliers in the free spins.
A Classic Slot Game with Beautiful Graphics
Fortune Teller was overall a good experience for us, and we particularly liked the general atmosphere and graphic quality of the game. Otherwise, the gameplay is not particularly memorable, despite being completely customisable.
Fortune Teller could have used a larger betting range to accommodate high rollers, and perhaps a progressive jackpot would have added a welcome extra thrill as well.
