All the Action, Only Faster
If there is one criticism some players have of Three Card Poker in a casino, it’s that the game can be a little bit slow paced. That’s not a bad thing for everyone: sometimes, waiting for the dealer to give you your cards can build anticipation, and the thrill as you squeeze out each card to see what your hand is can be an awesome moment. But if you’re someone who likes action, playing just one hand every couple minutes probably won’t be enough for you.
That’s not an issue at RTG online casinos. RTG 3 Card Poker, known as Tri Card Poker in their software packages, uses all of the same rules as a classic Three Card Poker game. But because there’s no need to shuffle any real cards between hands, you can play this classic at a much faster pace than you might be used to.
Two Games in One
Whether you choose to play in practice mode (a play money version that is perfect for those just learning how to play Three Card Poker, or those who want to perfect their strategy) or for real money, the interface for this game is clean and easy to maneuver. We recommend giving a no deposit bonus or two a try to see if you can win a little bit of money while playing on the house before you make an initial deposit.
First, you’ll want to choose the size of your bet. You can do so by clicking on the chips found on the lower-right corner of the screen, adding chips to make your bet anywhere between $1 and $500. You can then place your bets on the Ante and/or Pair+ betting spots. Players must play at least one of these games, but can play both if they want to.
If you’re not familiar with 3 Card Poker, this is the perfect time for a quick refresher. In the game, you and the dealer will both get three cards. Once you’ve seen your hand, you’ll already know if you’ve won the Pair+ bet: all that matters is the strength of your hand, with a pair or more necessary to win.
If you made the Ante bet, you’ll have another decision to make. You can fold, forfeiting your initial bet, or you can put in another Raise bet. If you do that, the dealer’s hand is revealed. If you’ve beaten the dealer, your ante bet is paid out at even money. If the dealer qualifies by having at least a queen in their hand, you’ll also win the raise bet – but if the dealer beats you, you’ll lose both your Ante and your Raise.
Big Payouts Possible
What makes 3 Card Poker so popular is the potential to win big money if you can make a big hand. This is just as true at RTG casinos, where generous pay tables mean you can win nearly 50 times your bet if you hit the right hand!
The big bonus payouts are paid whether you win or lose the hand. On the Ante bet, you’ll win even money if you make a straight, and the bonuses only rise from there, up to 5-1 for a straight flush. The Pair+ bet offers bigger potential rewards: you’ll win even money on a pair, and increasingly more as your hands get stronger, up to 40-1 for a straight flush!
Three Card Poker Like You’ve Never Played it Before
Even if you’re a 3 Card Poker veteran, we’re confident that you’ll find a lot to love about RTG’s Tri Card Poker game. The sheer speed of play is like nothing you’d find in a brick and mortar casino: it takes just a few seconds to play a hand, meaning you can get the same amount of action in a fraction of the time.
With great payouts, easy gameplay and a crisp interface, there’s a lot to like about RTG 3 Card Poker. If you’ve been looking for an alternative to games like classic blackjack to play, this is a game you’ll want to check out right away.
