Green, Green, and More Green
Yggdrasil Gaming is known throughout the world as an online casino software developer that backs itself to deliver a visually driven online slots experience. That reputation is represented fully within Cyrus the Virus. Set against a green backdrop, the game doesn’t actually do too much when it comes to UI imagery. This approach is quite different from other Yggdrasil Gaming titles, but it certainly doesn’t stop it from setting the tone for fun.
The symbols used within Cyrus the Virus probably represent the UI of this game at its most imposing. Spinning around are various friendly look viruses (along with some not so friendly looking ones too), breaking down what’s here down icon by icon, what’s clear is that this game carries plenty of imagination.
Sneezing up a Storm
With regards to gameplay, Cyrus the Virus is anything but complicated, as the game plays out pretty much identically to other Yggdrasil Gaming releases. That being said, there is a fair amount to wade through when playing, as Cyrus the Virus has a certain “code cracking” element within its 5 reels and 10 paylines.
The biggest prize in this high variance game is a 2,000x multiplier, but considering its high variance, you are going to have quite the battle on your hands to secure it. Wager flexibility is something that Cyrus the Virus does allow for, even though every player is capped at 10 paylines, which are locked from the get-go. The minimum bet to cover all paylines is 0.10, with the max being 40.00, so there’s plenty to work with.
Cracking the Code
Delving further into Cyrus the Virus, here is what all the symbols flashing before your eyes actually mean. The small blue virus will secure you 120x your stake, the grizzly green viruses are worth up to 200x your stake, and finally the multi-headed blue virus will bring home the big 2,000x wager multiplier.
Feeling a little under the weather
Sadly, Cyrus the Virus does have a few drawbacks, with the most obvious downside being the clear lack of bonus features. All players have to make use of here is a wild symbol, while it is expansive and does have the power to trigger re-spins, it just isn’t enough to keep a player’s attention over the long haul.
Maybe we’ve just become greedy over the years given what Yggdrasil Gaming has offered up, but with the lack of bonus options in this game, it’s doubtful that Cyrus the Virus will become a flagship Yggdrasil Gaming release anytime soon.
Cyrus the Virus Brings the Fun!
Yggdrasil Gaming has been a white-hot streak as of late, but Cyrus the Virus probably doesn’t represent the brand’s finest work. That isn’t to say that this is a bad game, because that certainly isn’t the case, but it just lacks that all round experience that most players will expect.
Impressive in design, but arguably a little half baked on the bonus feature front, Cyrus the Virus is a fun little distraction, but probably not a game that you’ll want to sink too much time and money into.
