Stop the Circle of Reincarnations

Nirvana is taking players to a whole new plane of existence – at least figuratively speaking. The game screen shows a mysterious city that seems to be floating amongst golden clouds, with beautiful buildings and waterfalls running right behind the reels. The symbols and command buttons underneath them are equally beautiful, with flowers and mysterious creatures popping onto the screen at regular intervals.

Nirvana is, simply put, one of the most original and beautiful slot games that we have gotten to testing thus far. Yggdrasil is famous for developing visually unique and stunning slot games, and Nirvana is another wonderful example of their expertise.

Complete Transcendence

Nirvana is giving players a clear path towards enlightenment and big wins: simply look at the command bar under the reels and use the arrow buttons there to bet from 0.20 to 100 credits on your next turn. The bet max shortcut can help you go all-in with a single click, and the always useful autoplay game mode is still available as well.

The 5 reels of the game contain 20 fixed paylines, and Nirvana has a medium-to-high volatility when you stick to the base game. That being said, scoring decent wins was easier than we thought when we tested the game, which is always a great surprise. The paytable contains both the traditional suits of cards and a group of mysterious chimeras and mythical creatures such as phoenixes, jackalopes, snakes and eagles with a top reward of x250 available in the base game.

Three Deities to the Rescue

Nirvana features two special symbols, which are rather classic but can also yield some unexpected effects. The emerald symbol is the wild card of the game, and as always you can use it to replace the basic symbols on the reels at any time. Wilds can be a little rare in the base game, so you will have to be patient and eventually luck will be on your side again.

The lotus flowers are the symbols of enlightenment, and also trigger free spins in Nirvana. These icons are scatters, which can award up to 10 free games and a bonus cash prizes of up to 5,000 credits instantly. Free spins come with special features, which you can select manually as long as you have scored at least 3 lotus flowers on the reels.

Wild Seeds with add 2 to 4 wilds on the reels randomly, Mega Reel will cover the 3 central reels with the same symbols, and Nudge Reels will nudge one reel, up or down, to create the best possible outcome for you. Moreover, landing extra lotus flowers while in free spin mode will give you the option to trigger more special features and even combine them.

One Step Closer to Enlightenment

We loved playing Nirvana, and despite its rather high volatility this game was entertaining right from the very beginning for us. The graphics and music are gorgeous, not to mention the original theme and universe in itself. Each special feature comes with an animation as a goddess comes to your help as well.

Overall, Nirvana is quite close to Playtech’s Daredevil in terms of gameplay – but absolutely unique for all the rest. Clearly another great game from Yggdrasil that we highly recommend to any curious gambler.
