Within the Castle Walls

At the moment there’s no competition to King & Queen when it comes to design and premise. If you look closely at the background you can see tall stonewalls, alongside overgrown vegetation and a bridge that crosses a moat. Add in the fact that King & Queen has incredible graphics and a ton of hidden “Easter Eggs” and you’ll understand why this game’s design is so well regarded by the masses.

Theme wise, we can’t stand here and say that King & Queen is the most innovative game we’ve seen. But when it looks this good, that doesn’t prove to be too much of a sticking point.

Throwing on the Crown

The game has a 5 reels and 30 paylines matrix in effect, with three symbols located on each reel. Adjust your bet with the command bar and just start playing, with the game really not needing too much more explanation from a gameplay standpoint. King & Queen lets players of all levels of experience with slot games have fun and bet right after the game is loaded on screen, with there something to be said for that.

If you don’t want things to get tedious then just turn on the autoplay mode and let the reels spin without the need to life a finger. King & Queen is hardly a gameplay marvel, but the addition of an autospin mode is a nice touch. Adding to the above, there is betting range of between 0.30 and 18.00 within the game.

Sitting upon the Throne

The card symbols are pretty easy to remember in King & Queen; the most common ones are the number 10 to Ace cards. You’ll get plenty of these, but they’re not that valuable. If you really want to make a profit then you need to get the bracelet, the eagle, or the king. You should really concentrate on the king symbols if we’re being honest, as a combination of five kings can boost your prize up to 500x larger than what you originally bet.

Ruling the Kingdom Below

What makes the game really interesting is the special features that act as incentives to both newcomers and experienced players alike. For example, you have the King & Queen logo. If you can somehow manage to get five logos on a payline then you can land yourself the biggest prize in the whole game in 2000x your original bet, and if you only have one of those then you can just use it to replace any other basic symbol in the game to get yourself a bigger score.

The red and gold crown is also a very helpful symbol. It can either offer you a modest win, as well as a bonus of seven free spins. During this a basic symbol will be randomly chosen and it will appear stacked over until your free spins are over. The only bad thing about this scatter is the fact that you need nine of these to actually trigger the bonus.

In Keeping with the Royal Flavour

When it comes to games of a similar ilk to King & Queen, there are two in particular that are worth highlighting. So, if you enjoy the regal nature of this Bally Wulff release, we certainly believe that you should take a look at The Royal Promise and Vivaldi’s Seasons.

King & Queen Delivers Much More Than Meets Eye!

Overall King & Queen is actually very good. It has an original design, a very well crafted background, easy gameplay, and a ton of bonuses to make use of. The only problem is the amount of scatters you need to actually trigger a free spin bonus, but even so, the games still mighty fun to play.
