All Sunshine, but Very Little Else

The design of Lucky Duck is pretty simple, not boring, but still not that exciting. You’re welcomed by a crisp blue sky with rich green grass everywhere. The only thing that is out of the ordinary in this background is the golden duck statue resting on some steps. The 5×3 matrix has a very Chinese feel to it, with oriental fans and coins taking lead this time.

Lucky Duck has some real colour to it, which will certainly grab the eye, the problem is that the UI just doesn’t really go anywhere beyond this. The actual theme is a touch boring; with the colour needing to be leaned on heavily just to give this game any kind of visual appeal.

Like a Sitting Duck

There are 12 symbols in the game, some having a traditional design while others simply having ducks on them. Needless to say, the duck symbols are way more important than the others. Being honest, gameplay wise, the game is hardly a thrill a minute affair, with the lowest wager being 0.20 and the max wager being 500.00.

The wild symbol is a happy yellow duck, which offers 500 coins to the players that find him. In order to trigger this prize, the players have to get five of these in a row. If there are only two of them in a row, then the player will win only 2 credits. The Lucky Duck symbol, although quite rare, still offers quite an impressive reward for stacking five of them in a row. Doing this can land you 400 credits, while the more of them you find the bigger your final reward will be.

Scattered Across the Pond

If you can get the scatter three times in Lucky Duck, then you can trigger the free spins, which will be the equivalent of the number of ducks you’ve found so far. The best part about is that if you actually get another duck in your free spin, the process will be triggered once again, which is a very nice touch.

The bonus round of this game is pretty straightforward. You just shoot the ducks that come up on the screen. Every duck that you shoot will give you a multiplier which can make your final reward be significantly larger. This level will go on until you come across the big wheel or collect options. If you manage to get the big wheel one, you’ll leave home with quite a large money prize. The return to player percentage here, by the way, is listed at 91.06%.

Keeping Things Low

Low to medium variance games are a dime a dozen these days, with this meaning that there is plenty out there can match Lucky Duck. If were being honest, there are two games out there that don’t just match Lucky Duck on the performance front, but actually go above and beyond it. Take our word for it, you should certainly keep a special eye out for Wealth Treasure and Wild West, two top games from 777IGT. These two games have very similar reel and gameplay setups, so if it really is more of the same that you are after, these games probably fit the bill.

Lucky Duck Loads up on Good Fortune!

In conclusion, design-wise, the low to medium variance game is pretty mediocre, but thanks to the immense winnings that it has to offer, it instantly becomes one of the best games made by Blueprint Gaming in recent times. The controls are simple to learn, and thanks to the minimum bet of 0.20, this game is likely to be adored by both the elite and the newcomers.
