Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, simply known as Michelangelo, was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet and engineer of the High Renaissance period. In fact, he was actually considered to be the greatest living artist during his lifetime, and has since been described as one of the greatest artists of all time. Often considered a contender for the title of archetypal Renaissance man alongside Leonardo da Vinci, it was only to be a matter of time before an online video slot game was made based on him and his life. It would be High 5 Games who would take the step into that foray, basing this product on some of his sculpture works and really introducing any players who know little about him to his works of art. As such, the game doesn’t feature any kind of relevant soundtrack in it, and instead makes use of the developer”s generic tones. However, it has high quality graphics incorporated into game play, as well as some intriguing special features to go alongside.

Renaissance Works of Art

The design of this game has been placed on a five reel and three row layout, so it’s a fairly regular video slot interface. However, it’s upon these reels that you’ll get to see the game’s variety of symbols, and these are presented initially in the format of the lower paying icons of A, K and Q. Joining these are four different higher paying icons, one of which is the letter ‘M’ for Michelangelo. The other three are of some of his sculptures, which are in the forms of David, Moses and Medici Madonna. The highest payout of these is for the ‘M’ icon, where five appearing on a row will give you a maximum pay out of 5,000 coins.

These aren’t the only features of the game’s layout though, as it also includes a total of 99 separate pay lines as well. You do have the chance to adjust these as you see fit in order to suit your own personal preferences. You’re also able to alter your wager placed per round, simply by switching the bet you place per line. This offers up a range of between $0.01 and $10, and therefore, with this pushed to its highest level and the maximum bet lines active, you’ll be playing a maximum overall wager of $990 per spin. There’s also the inclusion of an ‘Auto Play’ button, which will allow you to spin the reels up to 25 consecutive times at the same bet level.

The Artist’s Speciality Additions

While you’re browsing through the sculptures of Michelangelo, you’ll be able to take advantage of a few different special features. The first of these is its wild icon, and this is represented by the image of the word, ‘WILD’, simply. As such, it will stand in for every other icon on the reels, with the exception of the bonus symbols. The wild will only show up on reels two, three and four.

Another addition to this game is one of High 5 Games’s frequently used features, and that’s the ‘Tumbling Reels’. This is triggered every time you form a winning combination on the reels, and once all the wins you’ve formed have been paid out, the icons included in such will disappear from the screen. Once they do, spaces will be left to fill by new icons dropping from the top of the screen. Then, if further wins are formed after this, the process starts again. This continues on until no further wins can be formed, and provides the chance to receive multiple pay outs from one spin.

There’s also the addition of the previously mentioned bonus symbols, and these are represented by the image that states, ‘Free Games’ on it. This can only appear on reels one, two and three, but when three of them come into view, you’ll trigger the freespins round. A total of between one and four freespins will be awarded to you, and two different wild icons come into play during the round.
