Griffin Family Values

All main game wins in Family Guy are multiplied by the coin value you assign to each spin, with each symbol paying out the relevant amount for matching three, four or five on your reels.

First up are two of Peter Griffin’s favourite pastimes – the Beer Bottle and the Television Set – and these reward players with 5, 20 and 100 times their stake. The come Stewie’s “accessories” – Rupert the Cuddly Bear and his Ray Gun – that pay 5, 25 and 125 times your bet amount.

Meg is the butt of many of the jokes in the series and she is at the bottom of the heap as far as prizes are concerned here too. She will deliver 5, 25 and 125 times your line bet. Her brother, the intellectually-challenged Chris, offers 10, 30 and 150 times your stake.

The two partners in crime, Stewie and Brian, both pay at the same rate of 20, 50 and 200 times, with the heads of the Griffin family – the matriarch Lois and bumbling buffoon Peter – both rewarding players with 25, 75 and 250 times their total bet.

Family Fortunes

The Family Guy logo is the wild here, and this will substitute for all symbols apart from the World Bonus. It pays a handsome 40, 200 and 500 times your stake amount too.

Reveal three of the World Bonus symbol in any position on reels 2, 3 and 4 to trigger the bonus round. Here you will be asked to click on a globe to spin it, with one of The Drunken Clam, Chicken Fight or Lois’ Hot Free Spins features awarded.

The Drunken Clam, which is the public house that Peter and his chums like to frequent, awards from 25x to 1000x your bet amount. Simply pick your favourite character and see what prize they deliver, and there’s another game within the Drunken Clam bonus too. Select Beer Taps for further prizes ranging from 5x to 750x.

The Chicken Fight is a hilarious recurring scene in the series in which Peter gets to grips with an adult-sized chicken. In this bonus feature, players can select either Peter or the Chicken as their contestant, with three rounds in the fight. Players will be handed between one and seven picks per round, with prize sacks containing various sums between 5x and 1000x the target. Each win is subject to a multiplier linked to the game too.

Hot Ones

In Lois’ Hot Free Spins, players will be awarded 15 freebies for spinning three scatters in the first instance, with six new specials symbols added to the reels as well as a host of others that simply pay a different set of payouts (see the paytable for more details). These are various coloured versions of Lois, as well as Wild Naked Peter and Wild Quagmire (“Giggity Retriggity”). Once you have spun three of each of the Lois symbols, this will be held on your reels until the end of your free spins.

Peter, Stewie and Brian all boast their own special feature rounds too, so check the in-game information for more details about those.

There is so much to see and do in this slot ode to Family Guy that we simply can’t explain it all in a single review. Needless to say, you will be overjoyed by spinning three of the World Bonus symbol, as each of the trio of special features offers jaw-dropping rewards.

With IGT’s trademark gameplay and graphics bolstered by the rib-tickling antics of the Griffins, this is truly a slot game to savour. I played this game at Leo Vegas, who hands down still seem to be one of the best for iPad slots games.
