The China Shores symbols range from the Chinese lantern, golden turtles, the panda bear, the Ying and Yang symbol, oil bottles, Chinese symbols, and the typical card symbols of K, J, Q, A, 10 and 9. All pays are on selected lines only from the leftmost reel to the right on adjacent reels.

Each reel contains several adjacent positions that are randomly replaced with one of the symbols, apart from the wild panda, before the reel spin is initiated. All replacement positions are filled with the same symbol. 

The lowest paying symbols are the card symbols in which the symbols of A and K are the highest paying of the bunch. The highest paying symbol is the Chinese symbol, paying 1000x the line bet for 5 symbols. The next runner-up is the golden turtle paying 500x the line bet for 5 symbols. The Chinese lantern and the oil bottle equally pay 250x the line bet for hitting 5 symbols. 

In China Shores online slot, the panda bear (1) acts as the wild symbol of the game. The panda bear acts as a substitute to all symbols only on reels 2, 3, 4 & 5. The Ying and Yang symbol acts as a trigger, with 5 symbols paying 100x the line bet.

China Shores slots provide four progressive jackpots that vary in size. You have the mini, major, mega and maxi jackpots.

Our overall user experience went quite smoothly. We had no trouble accessing the game and we found China Shores slot online to be very user-friendly. We immediately got the hang of playing this slot. However, Konami did not invent the wheel here, which is why it was super easy to play, since we have seen this type of slot a few times before. 

The green colour scheme of its theme was the only factor that went slightly off the screen play when it comes to oriental-themed slots. Nevertheless, we cannot complain. China Shores’ user experience was a plus from our end.

When it comes to game features, China Shores slot machine has only one key bonus feature. This is called the Balance of Fortune feature. Other than that, the slot game is pretty straightforward with no particular surprises along the way. The wild panda acts as a wild symbol while the Ying and Yang symbol is the triggering one. 

Konami also provides an autoplay feature and a Quickspin feature. While the gameplay was great, we feel like this slot could have been more attractive if it were provided with more game features.

The payouts of this slot game are quite interesting. The highest paying symbol is the Chinese symbol, paying 1000x the line bet for 5 symbols while the lowest paying symbols are the traditional card symbols. 

Furthermore, the game’s RTP shoots up to 96.1% when you’re taking into consideration the jackpot games. However, without the jackpots, the RTP is quite low, merely 88.9%. The volatility of the game is of medium range. 

Overall, even considering China Shores’ low RTP at times, we had no problems whatsoever with its payouts. 

Sounds & Visuals: 4/5

China Shores’ best part is its visuals. Although this game lacks any audio, it surely makes up for it in the visuals and graphics department. Konami ventured out of the box here and decided to go for a green colour scheme, in contrary to, almost, every oriental-themed slot out there. The graphics are well-designed, and the symbols are crisp and clear! 

We have nothing to complain about here…except maybe, we could have used a soundtrack!

Overall, we think that Konami has made a solid effort into creating, yet another, Asian-themed slot game. China Shores is an oriental trip which we have been on before but, with the solid exception, of great graphics and visuals which makes it stand out from the crowd. 

If you’re planning on playing this slot game to win big, you need to be prepared to raise the stakes. The free spins and the bonus feature are great, although they don’t come around as often as we’d like them to.
