What’s your lucky number? Well for many people It’s the number 7, whether that applies to you I don’t know but if the Fantastic 7’s come up for you in this slot from Microgaming then it’ll definitely be your lucky number from now on.

This is another of the three-reel games that Microgaming have produced. It’s a straightforward and simple game and learning its rules isn’t going to take you very long indeed. In fact, there’s not even any need for a second screen paytable explaining in depth how everything works.

If you loved the fruit machines that used to dominate the pubs, cafes and amusement arcades, then this will be right up your street.  Everything is packed, though not cluttered on one screen and it certainly brings back a few memories of the games I used to play in the past and it’s great to be playing them again.

Colourful 7’s

This is a colourful looking game. Blue, yellow, purple and red all get to play their part in the game. It’s one of those games that put a smile on your face and hopefully the winnings you get will keep it there.

The top left-hand corner of the screen has the all-important reels. There’s just the one pay-line to try and get some wins on, a lot less than most the games you play these days. With just the one pay-line there’s no need to be spending any time working out how many to activate. There is one major decision you need to make though and that’s how much you are going to be staking on each spin of the reels.

The coin range in this game runs from €0.25 to €25. You can bet one, two or three coins on each spin. The minimum stake for playing at a level where you can win the top prize is €0.75 and the maximum €75.

Fantastic Top Prize

The symbols in this game are rather basic, there’s the cherry, single bar, double bar and triple bar plus those Fantastic 7’s. You have the white 7’s the red 7’s and the top paying blue and purple ones. Get three of those on a line and you’ll win either 500x, 1000x or 2500x your coin stake which means a top prize of €12,500. At all other levels the winnings rise proportionately depending on how many coins you have placed on each spin. For example, three red 7’s pay 80x, 160x or 240x your coin stake. With the top prize though the largest win is five times that at three coins than it is if playing just the one. It’s a way of getting the player to keep putting the maximum stake on but don’t let that ruin your monetary budget.

All the details of how much each winning combination pays is given on the right-hand side of the screen. Just like the Fantastic 7’s logo situated underneath the reels, it’s a rather colourful affair. That poor cherry is the lowest paying symbol in this game. Just one cherry on the pay-line wins you either 2x, 4x or 6x your coin stake, a handy little way of keeping your account balance ticking over nicely.

Whereas some of the three-reel games from Microgaming contain a wild symbol, that’s not the case here.  That might disappoint a fair few of you but if you choose to play a three-reel game then that’s what you’re going to have to accept. There are still some good wins to be had here though.

That makes it the simplest example of a slot game you’re going to see. If you’re new to slot games and not quite ready to cope with free spins or pick ‘em games, then this is going to be an ideal gentle introduction into the slot world.  It’s also an easy game to operate which is always welcome, regardless of your experience of slot games. It’s easy to set your coin level and then how many coins you wish to play.

In Conclusion

A rather simple straightforward game. It’s ideal if you fancy a break from the more complex games or you are an inexperienced player of slot games. It has a colourful look and there are some good wins to be had in this game. Be careful not to chase that top prize by putting on money you can’t afford to lose. All in all, though it’s an enjoyable game to play.
