Now I have to confess I am rather partial to the odd cookie or four. A tasty little delight and so is getting a good win off this ‘Fortune Cookie’ slot game released by Microgaming. There’s some tasty wins to be had here for sure, more cash to buy cookies I guess.

It’s another of the popular three-reel slot games that Microgaming produce. There may not be any bonus game but there are still plenty of reasons to be playing this game and chasing the 1600x jackpot, now that’s definitely a fortune in my book.

Cookie Cravings

The Far East is a popular theme for slot games and anyone who’s been to a Chinese restaurant will be used to the fortune cookie. There may be a lack of dragons in this slot but it still has an attractive look to it and is fun to play. Some fortune cookies have been known to help players win lottery prizes but you’ll be happy if this one gets you a string of good wins to boost that account balance of yours.

Microgaming have produced plenty of three-reel games such as ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Crazy Crocodile.’ If you are fairly new to playing slot games, then these three-reel releases can be a gentle introduction to the wonderful world of slot machines. They aren’t too difficult to play, a quick look through the rules (click on the Help button to access them) and a few free games will have you ready to win some cash.

One of the tasks that a slot designer has with these three-reel games is to fit everything onto one screen. That has to be achieved without making it look cluttered and that is achieved to perfection here.

The Fortune Cookie Logo is an attractive looking one and situated in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen below the reels. It has a suitably Oriental look to it and in the background there’s a river scene.

Cookie Capers

The top left-hand corner of the screen has the reels. With there being just the three of them they don’t take up so much space. There’s also just the single pay-line in this game so no long decisions on how many to activate as in other games.

The symbols are basic ones that always get used for these three-reel games. There’s the cherries, single, double and triple bars, some colourful 7’s and the Fortune Cookie logo. Now that last logo is the most important one in this game as it’s not just the highest paying one but also the wild symbol.

It can substitute for other symbols to get you wins and it has a multiplier attached to it. That means if one wild helps get you a winning combination, then that win is doubled. If two come along to give you help, that win is quadrupled.

Fortune Favours Two Coins

What if three come along? Well, that’s the top prize in the game but it’s essential that you play two coins on that lucky spin. The coin range in this game goes from €0.25 up to €5. If you want a chance to win the top prize, the minimum cost per spin is €0.50 and the maximum €10.

So two coins in play and that can win you 1600x your coin stake if those three Fortune Cookie logos end up on the pay-line. If just one coin was used it’s still an 800x win which is nothing to moan about. Other big wins are 100x or 200x for three 7’s and 50x and 100x for three triple bars.

You will find this an easy game to operate. All the control buttons are down at the bottom of the screen. It’s easy to decide how many coins to play, just Bet One for a single coin and Bet Max to employ both. There’s the chance to set an autoplay feature in this game but this can only be done if playing in expert mode. Either set 5x or 10x automated spins or set your own figure.

Cookie Conclusion

Another entertaining slot game from Microgaming. It’s not at all complex and while some may be disappointed at the lack of a bonus game, there’s still good reason to play. It looks and sounds good, the theme is ok and the wild can help that account balance tick over. Definitely recommended.
