It was Wizzard who wished that it could be Christmas every day. Well with this slot from Microgaming you can do just that and if you get some big wins playing ‘Jingle Bells’ you might have no problems paying for the next Christmas.

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, isn’t it? It usually starts in July and ends when you finally pay off the credit card bill sometime next year. It is a magical time of the year though, especially if you sell Christmas cards or replacement lights for Christmas trees.

Jingle Joy

This slot from Microgaming is another of their three-reel games. They put out some great five-reel games but ‘Jingle Bells’ and others like it such as ‘Captain Cash’ and ‘Crazy Crocodile’ pay homage to the three-reel games that used to be so popular here, there and everywhere.

These three-reel games are extremely simple and straightforward to play. Don’t expect there to be any bonus games because very few of them have one. Instead, it’s simply a case of choosing your stake and then hoping the spin of the reels will bring about a profitable conclusion. It might upset you there’s no free spins or second screen games (there’s not even a second screen here) but don’t let that put you off playing this game as it still has some tempting rewards that will put a big smile on your face. Perhaps larger than when you get given a horrible Christmas sweater or aftershave for Christmas.

The game has a good look to it with a dark green background, a bit like the Christmas wrapping paper that I always seem to struggle with every year. The Jingle Bells logo is a colourful one that is seen in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.  It gets you in the mood for the game and is so Christmassy with its bells and

Mistletoe Means Wins

The actual reels are in the top left-hand corner of the screen. The three reels have a total of five pay-lines. These aren’t fixed and it is up to you to decide how many to activate on each spin of the reels. The symbols are fairly basic with some mistletoe, the single, double and triple bells, red 7’s and the Christmas bells.

It’s the bells that are the most important symbol in this game It may be a retro slot but the game does include a wild symbol and that’s the bells. This can substitute for other symbols in the game thus helping to get you winning combinations.

You can get a win just for one of the mistletoe symbols appearing on a pay-line. It pays 1x your coin stake and two pays 2x. You’ll get a few of these and they do help keep the account balance ticking over nicely. Larger wins come from the triple bars, three of those paying 100x your coin stake while three red 7’s pays 300x.

Ring Those Bells

It’s the bells that are the top paying symbol in this game. Three of those can pay either 1000x, 2000x, 3000x, 4000x or 6000x your coin stake. It all depends you see on how many coins you play on each spin of the reels. If the three bells appear on a spin when you’ve staked five coins, then that gives you the top win of 6000x. It’s a way of getting you to stake more on each spin of the reels in the hope that big win comes along. The minimum cost of playing all the five coins and putting you in with a chance of getting the top prize is €1.25 and the maximum $25.Just sort out a budget and make sure you stick to it and don’t let any financial worries get in the way. After all Christmas, can do that perfectly well by itself.

The simplicity of the game makes it an ideal one to play if you’re new to playing slot games. Try one or two of these and then move onto the more complicated games. The game also has an autoplay feature which allows you some automated spins if you need some time away from the screen, always a useful feature.

Christmas Conclusion

An enjoyable but hardly complex slot from Microgaming. It’s entertaining enough and has got a big prize to chase, don’t let the lack of a bonus game put you off playing it.
