Microgaming produce some great retro slots and there’s a fair amount of pleasure to be had playing ‘Legacy.’ It has a jackpot of 2400x your coin stake, a wild symbol with a multiplier attached to it but a rather lacklustre theme.

I thought this might be related to some film with the title ‘Legacy,’ instead I’m not totally sure what it’s all about. Perhaps the guy who works on their themes was having the day off when this one was produced.

Create Your Own Legacy

The theme creator may have had a day off but the game designers were definitely having  a good day. This game certainly looks great with its dark red background  It gives the game a bit of an upperclass look really but there’s no fun here as in many other slot games from Microgaming such as ‘Jack in the Box’ and ‘Crazy Crocodile.’ Perhaps this is more for the executive players out there.

The Legacy logo can be seen in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. It’s kind of like the membership card you get when joining a posh casino. It certainly looks impressive that is for sure and lights up when you get a winning combination.

Bars Galore

The reels for the game are in the top left-hand corner and the three reels have a total of five pay-lines. When it comes to the symbols in this game, it’s fairly standard apart from the lack of cherries. The Legacy symbol is the top paying one here and it’s the only one that’s theme related. There’s also the red 7’s and then the single, double and triple bars. All in white on black so no more colours to add to the game.

Legacy Lolly

The Legacy symbol is the most important symbol in this game and not just because it can give you the highest win. It’s also the wild symbol here and can substitute for all the other symbols to get you winning combiations. Always handy when you’re one away from a win. The good news continues as there is a multiplier attached to the wild symbol. If one wild helps get you a win then that reward is doubled. If two get you the win then it’s quadrupled.

The top prize in this game is 2400x your coin stake. Not the largest I’ve seen in these kind of games but I doubt I’d moan if it came my way. To be able to win that amount you need to be playing five coins meaning all five pay-lines are activated.

The coin range goes from €0.25 up to €5. That means if you do want to have a chance of winning the top prize your minimum stake is €1.25 and the maximum €25.

If you play one coin and the three legacy symbols crop up on the first pay-line you still get a 1000x win. On the second pay-line the win is 1200x, 1400x for the third and 1600x for the fourth. As you can see there’s a big jump from the fourth to fifth so that’s the lure to be playing all five coins and pay-lines all the time. Just work your own budget out and only gamble what you can afford to lose.

Other wins in the game don’t depend on how many coins you play. For three  red 7’s you win 160x and it’s 80x for a trio of triple bars but that wild symbol multiplier can increase your win.

Operating this game isn’t going to cause you any headaches. All the operating buttons are down the bottom of the screen. It’s also possible to set an autoplay feature if you opt to play in expert mode. There’s the option to either go for 5x or 10x or set a more precise number yourself. That gives you the option of being able to stop the automated spins when a certain win comes along or your balance reaches a set figure.

Last Words

This is an enjoyable game to play but the theme is a bit lack lustre to be honest. The top prize is only 2400x which is also a bit disappointing. It’s still worth a play though and is ideal if you’re new to slot games and want a gentle introduction before going onto something more complex.
