Halloween is an ever-increasingly popular time of the year and there are lots of slot games out there that can be played with very suitable theme. ‘Lucky Witch’ is of course one of those such games but there’s no reason why you can’t try your luck on this great slot game all-year-round. A witch, especially a lucky one, isn’t just for Halloween you know.

This is another successful slot from Microgaming and certainly gives the player a great chance to win some tidy profits. It’s got three rows of symbols on five reels and a total of 15 pay-lines that will hopefully provide you with plenty of winners.

Playing the game costs you from € 0.15 if you want to activate all the pay-lines at minimum cost. The most you can spend on one spin of the reels is €60. Only wager what you can afford to lose but with a top stake that high-rollers will be really keen to play this game.

Spooky Symbols

The background shows a full moon and there are leafless branches on the eerie looking trees. I wouldn’t fancy going for a walk through there in the evening especially if the odd werewolf or two makes an appearance. The symbols in the game are all theme-related, the playing cards and fruit must have been scared away. They include a lizard, an owl, gargoyle, potions, a spell, crystals and pumpkins. Great to see all the symbols adhering to the theme.

It’s the Lucky Witch logo that is the wild symbol in this game. This really is magical as it can transform into other symbols to get you a winning combination you wouldn’t otherwise have had. Magic is a wonderful thing but it doesn’t always work (ask Tommy Cooper or for younger readers, Harry Potter). The wild can’t sub for the bubbling cauldron which is the scatter symbol here. That’s because of the part it plays in triggering the Mystery Bonus game.

With so much going on in this game it’s really important to have a look at the paytable. Lots of essential information about winning combinations and the bonus game so have a good read. Also have some free games to see everything in action before you play for real.

Free Spins Frenzy

Three of the potion scatter symbols will get you into the bonus game. These can be anywhere on the reels so even with just one pay-line activated there’s a chance of getting this. You’re given 13 free spins to play with but will they be lucky or unlucky for you?  Look out for the witch symbol as that becomes wild during the free spins and any win it creates is doubled. It’s also possible to re-trigger the free spins to win the chance to get even more cash flowing into your account.

Pick ‘Em Heaven

The Mystery Bonus can be triggered in both the base and free spins game. All that’s required is for three of the cauldron symbols to end up on the first, third and fifth reels. There are four different bonus games available here and it’s completely random which one you get to play.

In the Magic Potion Bonus game, you choose from 12 bottles, hopefully you’ll pick the ‘Win All’ prize but avoid the ‘Stop’ one as that ends the bonus game. The Pumpkin Bonus Game has five pumpkins to choose from. A bit different here as you choose one and then have the chance to accept the prize that is revealed. Or you can reject it and hope the next pick is better. There are three picks available to you.

The Spell Book Bonus Game is another Pick ‘em game with three to choose from and at stake is a multiplier which will be applied to your total bet. Finally, there’s the Secret Vault Bonus Game and you can choose three of the 12. Then you have to choose the one you think has the largest prize contained in in it.

Final View

There’s certainly plenty going on in this spooky game from Microgaming. The bonus rounds are all enjoyable to play and if your luck is in there are some big prizes to be won. The theme is an interesting one and adhered to really well, definitely recommend this ghoulish game.
