Save the Princess
Prissy Princess was inspired by all the classic fairy tales we have read in our childhood, where a defenceless princess is in dire need of rescue from a brave knight, who will surely slay the dragon and set her free. The game is set within a medieval castle, with rose bushes growing on the dungeons and ramparts. Everything looks quiet at the moment, but you never know when the dragon might show up and threaten the peace in the kingdom.
Prissy Princess uses colourful graphics with plenty of background details, including a few butterflies flying around. The animations are flawless and make the entire game feel alive, spin after spin. This might sound like a detail, but having decent graphics is what attracts players to a new slot game in the first place.
Preparation Is Key
The 5 reels and 20 fixed paylines of Prissy Princess let players bet from 0.20 to 100 credits every time they spin the reels, which is more than enough for most gamblers. Use the shortcuts on the command bar under the reels to pick your next wager and hit the spin button when you are ready. Prissy Princess features the classic autoplay mode as well, ready to let you play with the same wager several times in a row.
As mentioned before, Prissy Princess is fairly average in terms of winning possibilities, at least for as long as you stick to the basic game features. The volatility is set on medium so you never know what can of reward you might land next. The paytable itself contains weapons and shields, armours, helms and all that a knight might need. Talking about which, the 3 most rewarding icons on the basic paytable are 3 knights, with a top prize of 15 times your current line bet.
Big Chain Reactions up Ahead
The princess is a welcome wild card, able to replace the symbols listed above and worth up to x50 in a combination. But the most visual feature of Prissy Princess is the Crumbling Towers function. Whenever you score a combination, the entire reels involved in it crumble and fill up with new symbols instantly. Each respin removes a lock from the treasure chest above the reels, which will eventually open up and reveal a prize worth up to 100 times your current line bet, or 5 times your consecutive winnings.
Dragon wilds appear on reels that feature the 3 knights at the same time, and the dragon may also fly over the reels randomly and turn up to 3 symbols into wilds by spitting fire on them. Lastly, try to collect all 3 banners during the Crumbling Towers feature to begin the tournament, pick a side and hope for a win – which will translate into a sizeable cash reward.
Show Your Skills
As you can see, Prissy Princess is clearly all about offering players original bonuses. You can find similarly epic settings in other slot games such as Pirates or Joker Jester from Gamesys, just to name a few. Just like high-quality graphics, original gameplay features and what make players stick around and give them the will to keep the reels spinning to discover all that the game has to offer.
There are plenty of damsels in distress in the slot game world, but Aztec Princess from Play’n Go doesn’t seem to be in dire need of help at all. You can always check out the game and try to win up to 15 free spins there, if luck is on your side. The overall atmosphere of the game is more serious and less visually impressive than in Prissy Princess, but still worth trying out in our opinion.
A Fun Game, with Surprisingly Low Rewards
Prissy Princess is filled with original features and we also really liked the cartoonish look of the game. The Crumbling Towers alone makes Prissy Princess an addictive slot game and what drew us to it in the first place. Unlike many drop-based games that replace only the symbols involved in a winning combinations, you get a chance to respin entire reels at once here.
On the other hand, most of the cash rewards available in Prissy Princess are significantly lower than in many other slot games out there. The possibility to trigger chain reactions of consecutive wins is interesting, but simply isn’t enough to make up for it completely. This made the whole experience fall a little flat for us.
