How the Invaders from the Planet Moolah Slot Works
Invaders from the Planet Moolah was released in 2013 by WMS, a slot manufacturer that also specializes in video lotteries and casino software. (1)
WMS Gaming is a manufacturer of slot machines, video lottery terminals and software to help casinos manage their gaming operations. It also offers online and mobile games.WMS Gaming
Though an interesting slot to say the least, its unique characteristics helped popularize the game, making it a favorite among players at online casinos. The slot has 5 reels, 3 rows, and 25 paylines to win from. This means that Invaders from the Planet Moolah has your standard slot setup. You have a fair number of paylines and more than enough reels to spin during your session.
However, the betting range for Invaders from the Planet Moolah is far from normal. In fact, this slot has one of the largest betting ranges we’ve seen. In this game, you can bet as low as $0.25 per spin and as high as $125 per spin. With such a large range, Invaders from the Planet Moolah can accommodate both low-rollers and high-rollers alike. If you’re a high-stakes slot enthusiast, great! You can bet $125 per spin and hope to hit it big.
If you’re a more modest player and like to keep your money closer to you, then you can play for less than a dollar per spin.
Either way, no matter what type of playstyle you like, Invaders from the Planet Moolah can accommodate you!
Symbols and Values
There are 14 different symbols that you can find when playing Invaders from the Planet Moolah. All of these are themed to fit the crazy farmhouse-terrestrial theme that WMS was going for. One really interesting feature of the symbols is that there is a group of symbols that resemble a family. These all pay out the same value, with three symbols paying out 25X the line bet and five symbols paying out 500X the line bet.
This family is made up of a grandpa, grandma, cowgirl, regular guy, and a cow. While these symbols don’t show up together, if you match them on the reels, you can receive a pretty hefty payout.
The lowest-paying symbols in the game are the outhouse, carton of milk, mailbox, and chickens. When you match three of these symbols, you’ll receive 5X your line bet.
On the other hand, the highest-paying symbol in this game is the jackpot symbol, which pays out 750X your line bet.

There is also a wild symbol within the game that can help you substitute for different paylines. The symbol itself is a cow and like the family symbols, there are multiple variations of the cow.
You can get a brown-spotted cow, a black-spotted cow, or a brown cow. Either way, each cow can substitute for other missing symbols and help create paylines.
Invaders from the Planet Moolah Bonuses and Features
The Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot has two main features to look out for: cascading reels and the invasion bonus.
The cascading reels works just like any other slot with the feature. Whenever you hit a payline, the spin isn’t over. Rather, the winning payline’s symbols disappear and the rest of the symbols fall to take their place.
As a result, you can hit several paylines within one spin, winning more per spin than your standard slot machine.
This feature also works directly in line with the invasion bonus game. If you manage to land four cascading in a row, then you’ll receive 7 free spins and a chance to receive a multiplier as large as 7X your total bet.
Furthermore, the more cascading reels you land, the more free spins you’ll receive. Here’s the rundown on the number of free spins you can receive per the number of cascading reels you land:
- Four Cascading Reels: 7 Free Spins
- Five Cascading Reels: 10 Free Spins
- Six Cascading Reels: 15 Free Spins
- Seven Cascading Reels: 25 Free Spins
- Eight Cascading Reels: 50 Free Spins
As you can see, once you activate the invasion bonus, you’ll have plenty of chances to win big, especially if you land one of the multipliers that come with the game.
RTP and Variance
The Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot has an RTP of 96% and a medium volatility. This means that, for every $1,000 wagered in the long run, you can expect to win back around $960 in winnings on average. However, this projection should be taken with a grain of salt since luck always plays a factor in how you do. For instance, if you hit five of the jackpot symbols, you’ll quickly go over the projected amount.
On the other hand, if you go on a cold streak and are only hitting low-paying symbols, then you could easily lose more money than you expect to. In the short run, anything can happen. In the long run, you can expect your numbers to be closer to the projected RTP since this is an estimated average of the total amount returned by the total wagers made. (2)
RTP can be calculated by taking the total amount returned to players, divided by the total amount gambled by players.N-Serve.org
Invaders from the Planet Moolah’s medium volatility means that there is risk associated with the game. However, the payouts are well worth it. A high volatility slot will have the most risk. However, likewise, it will also have the biggest payouts. On the other hand, a low volatility slot will have little risk, meaning that you will receive consistent payouts.
As a result, low volatility slots tend to have smaller payouts. This puts medium volatility slots in the middle, with some risk and quality payouts. Thus, when you play Invaders from the Planet Moolah, you can expect to have a little bit of variability between the spins. However, this will be offset by the payouts, which can be pretty generous at times.
Play Invaders from the Planet Moolah on Any Device
Because of how popular the Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot is, you can expect to find this slot on your favorite mobile casino app. Currently, the slot is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows devices, meaning that you can play from virtually any phone or tablet that you want. All you need to do is boot up a mobile browser, log into your favorite online casino, and you’ll be good to go.
Some online casinos might have an app, but that can be pretty rare. With iOS devices, real money casino apps are usually only allowed to online casinos within the United States. With Android devices, real money apps were only just recently allowed as of March 1st, 2021. As a result, most online casinos who want to put their app in the play store are still in the development stages.
As a result, most online casinos have stuck to using a mobile browser for their games. Luckily, you can access pretty much any online casino that you want through your phone. Because of how popular mobile casino gaming has become, just about every top online casino has made it their priority to make sure that their site is mobile compatible. Therefore, no matter where you are or where you’re going, you can play Invaders from the Planet Moolah!
Slots Similar to Invaders from the Planet Moolah
Given the bizarre nature of the Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot, there’s bound to be other slots like it out there. That’s why we’ve taken the liberty of finding slots that are similar to the title, whether it be in theme, payouts, or bonus games.

Invaders Return from the Planet Moolah
If you’re looking for a game similar to Invaders from the Planet Moolah, why not look at its sequel? Invaders Return from the Planet Moolah stars as the sequel and is just as bizarre as the first. The game has similar symbols, with its mailbox, outhouse, barn, and many more. However, it also has its differences. In the game, you can find different wild symbols and bonus features.
The game possesses a specialty wild cow symbol which can allow you to unlock double bonus features, stacked wilds, and a symbol elimination system for symbols that do not create a payline. Basically, WMS comes back to its users with the same theme and gameplay. However, this time, you have more features and more free spins to take advantage of.
While Crystal Forest doesn’t have as unique of a theme as Invaders from the Planet Moolah does, there are still quite a few similarities between the two slots. For one, both slots have the same setup. You’ll find that each slot has 5 reels, 3 rows, and 25 paylines to win from. Furthermore, both slots also have an RTP of 96% and a medium volatility.
However, most importantly, both Crystal Forest and Invaders from the Planet Moolah have the cascading reels feature. Thus, while Crystal Forest may not seem like it has any similarities to the Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot, the game’s in-game features, setup, and RTP make it more similar than any other slots we’ve seen.
Here at MrGamez, we like to compile our overall rating of a slot game based on four areas: user experience, game features, payouts, and sounds & visuals.
We applied these ratings to the Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot. That way, we can come up with a definitive ranking to help you determine whether or not you want to put your money here.
User Experience: 4/5
We found the overall user experience of the slot to be excellent. All the necessary buttons we wanted to see underneath the slot were present and any information we needed was easily accessible.
One neat addition we enjoyed was the meter next to the slot which showed us how many free spins we would have access to the longer we played. The cherry on top were the UFO cows on top of the reels. These were what helped us identify the paylines we hit by zapping the symbols.
Our only complaint was that the button to turn the sound on and off took one more click than usual when compared to other slots in the game.
However, other than that, we had a very smooth experience with the entire layout of the game.
Game Features: 4/5
We were also very happy with the quality of the game features presented to us. While the game only had two definitive features, these two features alone made the game enjoyable for the entire duration.
Our team never got tired of the cascading reels and when we were able to unlock the bonus game, we were paid well due to the free spins and the multiplier.
Both features worked in hand with each other and this led to a much smoother gaming experience. As a result, the slot’s overall gameplay didn’t feel as clunky as other slots we’ve reviewed.
Thus, we can say that this game acted more like a fine-tuned machine, with every part working in hand to make sure that our session was as enjoyable as possible.
With an RTP of 96% and a medium volatility, we found our payouts to be pretty great. There was some risk associated with the game. However, we were still able to hit paylines and get paid out.
Furthermore, the multipliers for the paylines were pretty high. If we managed to hit 5 of the jackpot symbols, we would be paid 750X our total bet.
The cascading reels feature also really helped with getting large payouts since one spin could equate to several hit paylines. On top of this, if we were able to unlock the free spins feature, we would receive free spins as well as a multiplier to help us win even more.
Overall, we were quite happy with the payouts and can say that the money we invested provided a nice return for us.
Sounds & Visuals: 5/5
Given how unique and well-thought-out the theme of the game was, we had to give Invaders from the Planet Moolah a 5/5 rating for their sounds and visuals.
For one, the overall design of the reels was amazing. Each symbol had a quirky look to it as if it came straight out of a cartoon. Furthermore, the title of the game was embedded in the top left of the slot right in front of the moon.
This made the slot feel as if we were watching a comedy about an alien invasion, only the aliens were cows. The background’s planetary design also added to the theme since it gave the overall slot an extraterrestrial feel.
Add on the cow UFOs that hovered above the reels and you truly had a uniquely crafted slot that took their graphics and visuals to the next level.
But, what about the sound? This was also an area where we also felt like Invaders from the Planet Moolah knocked it out of the park.
For one, there was no background music but rather, background noise. This noise was composed of sounds you might associate with UFOs flying around and complex alien machines.
While unconventional, we actually enjoyed this since it served as white noise that added to the overall outer space theme.
The other sounds were also quite unique in their own sense. Whenever you hit the payline, the hovering UFOS above the reels would make the same noise made in films whenever someone was being abducted by a UFO.
You could also find other noises. However, these were mostly dings and clicks associated with spinning the reels, adjusting bet amounts, and turning on autoplay.
Overall, we think that WMS did a great job with the sounds and visuals for the Invaders from the Planet Moolah slot. The extraterrestrial-themed sounds and the cartoon-like graphics helped create an immersive experience that we won’t forget for a long time.
Final Rating: 4.25/5
You’ll rarely come across a slot as unique as Invaders from the Planet Moolah. With the theme being alien cows from another planet, you’re sure to have plenty of fun when you play this slot.
Furthermore, there were very few problems we found with the slot. The user experience was great. The in-game features were complex and interesting. The sounds and visuals were immersive and the payouts rewarded us handsomely.
If you’re looking for a new slot that has a different pace to it, we highly recommend that you go with Invaders from the Planet Moolah. With the cascading reels and free spins, you might just find your next jackpot here.
